How Nord Anglia hosted their annual educational summit with Canapii
Nord Anglia is a premium provider of international day and boarding schools, located across 31 countries worldwide. They approached Canapii to host their 2021 annual Educational Summit.
A global audience with complex requirements
With approximately 500 attendees joining from around the world, Nord Anglia needed a platform to host multiple concurrent sessions streamed across different time zones. The platform had to offer an intuitive interface supporting a wide range of technical experience and accessibility needs.
The client also needed the platform to accommodate meetings with different attendee types two weeks prior to the Summit, along with tech support for back-to-back sessions and the ability to keep the platform open for 30 days after the event for on-demand access.
Overcoming the Chinese firewall and beyond
During setup, Canapii's technical team identified that a large proportion of the audience would be connecting from Chengdu, China. By integrating Zoom to host specific sessions, the team enabled speakers behind the Chinese firewall to participate seamlessly while providing a familiar interface for all presenters.
To accommodate the client's networking needs, Canapii ensured the platform went live two weeks prior to the event and restricted networking between certain attendee types to create meaningful connections for partners and stakeholders.
A three-day summit that exceeded expectations
The three-day event saw Canapii host over 40 one-to-one meetings and sessions. The platform's intuitiveness meant very little live support was required despite Canapii team members being available in every session. The first live session received over 217 views, setting strong precedence for the rest of the event.
All sessions were recorded for later download, the Zoom integration worked seamlessly, and Nord Anglia praised Canapii's user-friendly console which allowed them to apply branding and personal touches throughout the platform.
